Incoming Principal for the Upcoming 2023-24 School Year
Welcome to Meigs Academic Magnet Middle School! I am honored and ecstatic to serve this highly acclaimed learning community. At Meigs, we are eager to develop your child’s capacity to understand content that is complex, relevant, and individually demanding. We believe students thrive when we integrate social emotional learning competencies and engage in conversations that celebrate diverse perspectives with academics. Students are encouraged to DREAM BIG by imagining the endless possibilities in middle school, high school, post-secondary opportunities, and beyond. Biography
Dr. Neal served as a biology teacher and instructional coach before becoming an administrator. She most recently served as the curriculum and instruction principal and Cambridge coordinator at McGavock High School. Dr. Neal has more than 15 years of teaching experience and was selected to be the master teacher of the MNPS Demonstration School in which she opened her classroom to principals and teachers across the district to model best practices.
